A new, emotionally riveting, sexy standalone romance by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster. Watch mysteriously sexy Bear Whiskey claw his way to his happily ever after with sassy, rebellious Crystal Moon.

In TRULY, MADLY, WHISKEY…

Eight months is a long damn time to have the hots for a woman who keeps a guy at arm’s length. But Crystal Moon is no ordinary woman. She’s a sinfully sexy, sass-mouthed badass, and the subject of Bear Whiskey’s midnight fantasies. She’s also one of his closest friends.

Just when Crystal thinks she has her life under control, scorching-hot, possessive, aggressive, and fiercely loyal Bear pushes all her sexual buttons, relentless in his pursuit to make her his.

The more Bear pushes, the hotter their passion burns, unearthing memories for Crystal that are best kept buried. But there’s no stopping the collision of her past and present, catapulting the two lovers down an emotionally charged road that has them questioning all they thought they knew about themselves.

My Review:

Ahhh, it just doesn’t get much better than an afternoon lost in one of Melissa Foster’s novels… Truly, Madly, Whiskey tells the story of Bear and Crystal who have been friends for about 8 months, although Bear has always wanted more. Crystal is reserved, but with a tough-girl appearance, although inside she’s struggling to overcome her past. She works in a boutique with her best friend but longs to design clothing and costumes.  Bear is a fiercely loyal and protective biker and mechanic who works in the family business but wants to break out on his own. Bear flirts and waits patiently because he’s crazy about Crystal, but the closer they become the more he learns about her past.

I must say, I fell madly in love with Bear. Romantic, chivalrous, funny, sexy – I could go on all day! Not normally a big fan of cutesy nicknames for a boyfriend or girlfriend, I think I could get used to that man calling me sugar on a daily basis… Anyway, I really did love his character, patience, and loyalty. Crystal was a great character also and the author really allowed the reader to watch Crystal change and open up throughout the course of the novel. She learned to trust and open her heart more and more with the patience and understanding she received from Bear. However, back to nicknames, there were some moments where I really got tired of their “bear” jokes back and forth although their romance was very sweet.

Both Bear and Crystal had several internal conflicts going on with them, but the nice thing about this romance is that they weren’t really any external conflicts against them, other than someone from Crystal’s past. They certainly had their own issues to confront and work out, but there wasn’t all of that worry and stress about someone or something trying to keep them apart.

Truly, Madly, Whiskey is a fast-paced romance that I was unable to put down once I started. Even better, this is one of those novels that I pretty much kept a silly, stupid grin on my face for the majority of the novel. There were some tearful moments also, but overall this is just a feel-good romance with an amazing leading man. Melissa Foster continues to wow me with her novels making me think “this is the best one yet” every time I read something of hers. I can’t wait to read what she has next!
